Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our pet waste removal service.

We service Kenton, Boone, and Campbell counties in Northern Kentucky. This includes Independence, Erlanger, Fort Mitchell, Edgewood, Taylor Mill, Florence, Hebron, Union, Fort Thomas, Newport, and surrounding communities.

Yes. We offer one-time cleanups as well as recurring service plans — weekly, bi-weekly, and twice a week.

No contracts required. Our standard service is month-to-month, and you can start, pause, or cancel at any time with no penalties or fees. We also offer Annual and Quarterly subscription options for additional savings.

We use a Client Portal for all payments. You'll link a credit or debit card, and invoices are automatically generated and paid each month. Recurring billing occurs on the 1st of each month. Your card must be linked before we arrive for your first cleanup.

No. As long as we have access to your yard, you do not need to be home. We can also clean with friendly dogs in the yard. Once the cleanup is completed, we'll send a photo of your closed gate to confirm everything is secured.

We assign your service day based on our route in your area to keep things efficient and consistent. You'll have the same day each week, and we'll send a text when we're on our way.

If possible, we ask that your pets be inside while we clean. If that's not an option, no worries — we're happy to work around friendly dogs. If a dog shows signs of aggression or won't let our technician safely clean the yard, we'll try to reach you by knocking, calling, or leaving a note in your Client Portal. If we're unable to complete the cleanup due to a dangerous dog, an invoice will still be sent for the visit and we'll perform double duty the following week.

Yes. We sanitize all tools and shoes between every yard to prevent cross-contamination. We check your gate on entry and exit, and send you a photo of the closed gate after every visit so you know your dog is secure. If your dog has any special needs or sensitivities, just let us know and we'll accommodate.

Dog waste is actually classified as a hazardous material, so proper disposal matters more than most people realize. The safest and most eco-friendly method is bagging it and placing it in your household trash. That's exactly what we do — all waste is double-bagged and placed in your trash can. If your trash can isn't accessible, we'll leave it bagged neatly beside your house.

Yes. Fresh Paws is fully insured so your property, family, and pets are protected every visit.

Service may be rescheduled due to rain, lightning, flooding, strong winds, heavy snowfall, or heat/cold advisories. During winter, if we can see waste we'll scoop it. If temperatures drop below 15°F or it's actively snowing, a snow day may be called and you'll be serviced on your next scheduled day.

We do not service on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or Christmas Day. If your service day falls on a holiday, we'll skip that week and perform double duty the following week.

If we miss anything, just contact us right away and we'll come back within the next business day to take care of it.
